You are starting to suspect that this story has no end, that there's no limit, that you will be lead you into loops and repetitions and that the only deadline there is - is death itself. You are wrong.

There is an end, but this is not it. This is only pause. A phone rings and Karl picks up: “ Hallo Alex!” Is Alex a friend? A colleague? Alex voice is a recording, coming from the speakers in Karl's mobile phone. There is no delay in playback, and therefore it is a recording that communicates, that speaks. The conversation is in German and you are losing your focus. It is getting very late, and the animals are waiting.
