It might seem so, but Karl has not forgotten about your email. One day he will reply and one day you will visit him again in his office. It will be summer and he will keep his windows open. He will sit by his computer, head bent down. He will have a new haircut, but it will not help him. His long blonde hair is thin and a discreet wind will easily blow it to the side, revealing a majestic tumor growing in the fertile flesh of his neck.

"Are you OK?"

He will instantly stop typing on his keyboard. For a moment, he will just sit there, observing his frozen hands. Then he will look up, and to your surprise, he will look calm. Is that a smile on his face?

You will want to assure him that you have no intentions to... but you will not be able to formulate the thoughts in your head, let alone speak them out loud.
