The Fox Room The room is known as the Fuchs-Zimmer, or the fox-room, because once, it was the home of a group of foxes. It was the early years of the Animal Sound Archive and Gûnter Tembrock was never far away. He walked around slowly, with a recorder. Sometimes he would sit on a chair next to a desk, writing his diary. He named the foxes Jupp, Fritz, Fiffi, Fanny, Mucki, Franzi, Toni, Gina, Castor, Quick and Pollux.

Günter Tembrock spent 12 years in the fox room.
